We’re answering ten of your most commonly asked questions:
1. What are the dates of the fair?
The pageants will be on Saturday, June 6th.
The tractor ride will also be on June 6th.
Livestock shows start on June 6th and vary through the week.
Our dog show will be on Monday, June 8th.
The carnival and motorsports will begin on Tuesday, June 9th.
2. Where are we going to be located?
The carnival, motorsports, and other entertainment will be at the same location as last year on Smoky Way in Danville. This is right behind Danville Eye Center on the bypass.
Pageants will take place on June 6th at the Boyle County Performing Arts Center. It’s at the Boyle County Middle School.
Ag/Livestock events will take place in the barn at our old fairgrounds which is located next to the humane society.
3. What is admission?
Admission to watch the pageants on June 6th will be $10 per person. Children under 5 will be free.
Admission to come to the dog show on Monday, June 8th is free.
Admission from June 9-13th is TBD per person. Children under 36″ are free. Rides are included in admission.
Participants in any event will need to pay the event fee separately.
4. Does my child have to pay to get into the fair? What if they aren’t riding rides?
If they are over 36″ inches tall, then yes they have to pay to enter regardless of whether they ride rides or not.
5. Do I have to pay to get in just to watch motorsports?
YES. Again, EVERYONE 36″ inches tall and above is required to pay the full admission price, regardless of whether you ride rides or not. You are paying to enter the fairgrounds, the rides are included for free.
6. When does the carnival close?
Typically 10 or 11 Tues-Thurs and 11 or 12 on Fri-Sat. This is determined by the carnival and depends on crowd attendance.
7. Can I leave the fair and come back?
No. Re-entry is NOT allowed once you exit.
8. Do I have to pay for parking?
No. Parking is free.
9. Can I pay admission with credit card?
YES!! We will have credit card machines this year!
10. How much are helicopter rides?
The helicopter is a private vendor and they have their own pricing as well as different packages. You will have to check with them to get exact cost.
