Rules: 

  1. All entries must conform to the official health regulations governing the exhibition of livestock in Kentucky and be identified individually on a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection written in the current calendar year.
  2. Market animals must be KUIP Tagged.
  3.  All animals must be on the Fairgrounds by 4:30 p.m.
  4. Breeds will be determined at check in, any breed with 5 head or more will have their own show.

Premiums – $25.00 – $20.00 – $15.00 – $10.00 – $5.00

Only ONE premium paid for each class

Showmanship:     9-21 years of age as of January 1, 2026

RULES

  1. Exhibitors must abide by the general rules for the fair and for livestock.
  2. All animals must be on the Fairgrounds by 8:30 a.m.
  3. Weigh in stops at 8:00 a.m. (Declared weights plus or minus 15)
  4. Reweigh will be done at the discretion of the show staff.
  5. Market hogs maximin weight is 280 lbs.

Premiums:  $10-$7-$5-$3

Definition of Classes

  1. Showmanship:
  • Senior Showmanship*
  • Junior Showmanship*
  • Novice Showmanship – Under 9 years old as of Jan 1

*Classes will be split based on exhibitors age as of Jan. 1st after check in.

  1. Novice Market:
    • 1 entry per exhibitor.
  1. Breeding Gilts:
  • Breed Classes include Berkshire, Chester White, Duroc, Hampshire, Hereford, Landrace, Spotted, Tamworth, Poland China, and Yorkshire. Registration papers required.
  • Registered breed classes will be shown by age (November – March) and may be split by age at the discretion of the show staff. Crossbred gilt classes will be shown by weight.
  • All breed champions and champion crossbred will compete for supreme gilt.
  1. Youth Market Animals:
  • Breed Classes include Berkshire, Chester White, Duroc, Hampshire, Hereford, Landrace, Spotted, Tamworth, Poland China and Yorkshire. Registration papers required.
  • There will be a division for Crossbreds. Champion and Reserve Champion Crossbred are eligible for Top 5 Market Hog.
  • Classes will be divided by declared weight
  • All entries must be KUIP tagged.

GOAT and SHEEP SHOW

RULES (both Shows)

  1. All entries must conform to the official health regulations governing the exhibition of livestock in Kentucky and be identified individually on a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection written in the current calendar year.
  2. Market animals must be KUIP tagged.
  3. All animals must be on the Fairgrounds by 2:00 pm. Market animal weights must be turned in by 3.00 pm.
  4. Animals cannot be shown in both breeding class and market class.

Premiums:  $10-$7-$5-$3

Youth Market Animals-

              All animals will be shown by weight. More than 5 will have a breed class.

Open Breeding Animals

          Registered Ewes will be shown by breed (those with less than 5 will be shown AOB)                                                      in the following classes:

Yearling: Under 2 years of age and born before August 31, 2025

Fall: September 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025

January: January 1, 2026 – January 31, 2026

February: February 1, 2026 – February 28, 2026

March: March 1, 2026 and after

COMMERCIAL EWES WILL BE SHOWN BY WEIGHT

Division A: Alpine, Nubian, Recorded Grade, and Toggenburg (division may be changed due to class size)

Division B: AOP, Lamancha, Nigerian Dwarf, and Saanen (division may be changed due to class size)

 

MARKET SHOW (YOUTH ONLY) –Declared weights must be turned in by 3:00 pm.

          Wether classes broken by weight determined by the superintendent
